Karl Dittrich

Karl Dittrich (born January 18, 1928 in Kufstein ; † November 30, 1995 in Tulbing ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and entrepreneur. Dittrich was 1975-1978 member of the Federal Council and from 1978 to 1992 Member of the National Council .

education and profession

After attending elementary school, Dittrich completed the secondary school and the technical university specializing in civil engineering. He was awarded the professional title of Ing . Dittrich subsequently worked as a civil engineer and went into business for himself in 1952. He received the professional title of Commercial Councilor .

After Dittrich was involved as district group chairman in the Austrian Economic Association (ÖWB) from 1958 , he was elected guild master deputy of the building aid trade in 1960 and in 1969 he was elected master of the guild. In 1975 Dittrich took over as chairman of the regional group of the ÖWB. He was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce between 1965 and 1970 and Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce for Vienna from 1970 to 1975. In 1975 Dittrich took over the office of President of the Chamber of Commerce.

Dittrich represented the ÖVP between October 17, 1975 and November 7, 1978 in the Federal Council. From November 7, 1978 to April 30, 1992 he was a member of the National Council. After his death, Dittrich was buried in the Vienna Central Cemetery (group 14 C).
