Karl Eugen Bauner

Karl Eugen Bauner (born April 21, 1947 in Mellrichstadt ) is a German lawyer and former judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

Career

After completing his legal training, Bauner entered the higher judicial service of the Free State of Bavaria in 1975 . In 1976 he was appointed public prosecutor and in 1980 judge at the district court of Würzburg . After another change to the public prosecutor's office, he was promoted to senior public prosecutor in 1987 and, with a transfer to the Würzburg regional court in 1993, was appointed presiding judge at the regional court. As a permanent representative of the Chief Public Prosecutor, he moved to the Schweinfurt Public Prosecutor in 1997, and from 1999 he was Vice President of the Schweinfurt Regional Court . In 2001 he was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice, where he began his service on April 2, 2001. Until his retirement on May 31, 2012, he worked in the VII Civil Senate , which is mainly responsible for building and architectural law, and played a key role in shaping its case law. In addition, he had been a member of the Senate for Patent Attorney Matters since 2005, initially as an assessor and later as its deputy chairman . In addition, he was assigned the duties of investigating judge IV in 2002 . He was co-editor of the magazine for German and international building and procurement law .

Since 1968 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Markomannia Würzburg .
