Karl Fittler
Karl Fittler (born January 1, 1894 in Ebertsheim , † April 1, 1966 in Kirchheimbolanden ) was a German politician ( SPD ).
Life
Fittler had worked in various activities since 1919 and was employed as an employee at the employment office in Kirchheimbolanden in 1925. After the National Socialists came to power , he was dismissed for political reasons and was subsequently unemployed. From 1937 to 1945 he worked for a fruit sales cooperative, most recently as managing director.
Fittler was a member of the Advisory State Assembly of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate in 1946/47 and was then elected to the Rhineland-Palatinate Landtag , of which he was a member until 1951. Here he was chairman of the Reconstruction Committee. In 1945 he served as second mayor on a voluntary basis and then from 1946 to 1956 as first mayor of the city of Kirchheimbolanden.
