Karl Florentin Leidenfrost

Karl Florentin Leidenfrost (born May 11, 1783 in Kölleda , † March 24, 1834 in Weimar ) was a German high school teacher , translator and biographer .

Life

Karl Florentin Leidenfrost was the second son of the pharmacist August Ernst Leidenfrost. He attended high school in Weimar and then studied at the University of Leipzig . He then became court master of the Count of Schlippenbach in Schönermark for four years . Here he met his future wife. Leidenfrost then became court master of Wilhelm von Burgsdorf in Ziebingen . Here he joined the Masonic Order. Via Leipzig and Eilenburg he came to Weimar, where he was employed as a French teacher at the local grammar school.
