Karl Franz Prince
Karl Franz Fürst (born April 13, 1906 in Ruma , Syrmia , Austria-Hungary, † 1983 in Graz ) was a painter and draftsman.
life and work
Karl Franz Fürst first studied modeling with Wilhelm Gösser and life drawing with Anton Marussig at the Graz School of Applied Arts . From 1925 he continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Wilhelm Dachauer . Fürst passed the teaching examination in 1931 and subsequently worked as an art teacher. In 1940 he was taken prisoner by the Soviets as a war participant . After his return he worked as a freelance artist. From 1957 until his retirement in 1973 he worked again at school.
Fürst had exhibitions in Ruma (Banat), Sarajevo, Graz ( Landesmuseum Joanneum , Künstlerhaus Graz ) and Sindelfingen.
