Karl Franz Jaeckel

Karl Franz Adolf Jaeckel (born May 1, 1844 in Frankenstein , Province of Silesia , † November 29, 1898 in Danzig -Neugarten) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a landscape calculator, Jaeckel studied law and chamber music in Wroclaw after attending the Schweidnitzer Gymnasium . During his studies in 1863 he became a member of the Arminia Breslau fraternity . After completing his studies, he became a court assessor in 1871 and a district judge in 1872. From 1877 to 1888 he was district administrator in the Strasburg district in West Prussia . He was also a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of West Prussia . From 1882 to 1888 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the Free Conservative Party . From 1888 to 1898 he was governor or regional director of the province of West Prussia . Later he was chairman of the board of the Invalidity and Old Age Insurance Institute of the Province of West Prussia.
