Karl Frodl

Karl Frodl (born August 8, 1919 in Klagenfurt ; † May 12, 2007 in Buchegg , municipality of Arnfels ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer . Frodl was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1965 to 1984 .

After attending compulsory school, Frodl learned the profession of butcher and subsequently worked as a farmer, where he was awarded the professional title of economics councilor. From 1953 he became politically active as a member of the Austrian People's Party and was the local ÖVP party chairman for the municipality of Oberhaag . He was also the main district party chairman of the ÖVP Leibnitz from 1965 and was already serving as a member of the regional chamber for agriculture and forestry for Styria from 1962. In addition, Frodl was chairman of the Leibnitz dairy and the Styrian Fleckviehzuchtverband. He represented his constituency between July 8, 1965 and September 19, 1984 in the National Council and was mayor of Oberhaag from 1975 to 1990.
