Karl Göbel (cyclist)

Karl Göbel (born February 13, 1903 in Dortmund ; † unknown) was a German racing cyclist .

Karl Göbel was a professional cyclist from 1928 to 1940. He mainly competed in six-day races . He won seven of a total of 35 six-day races: in 1929 in Leipzig with Emil Richli and in Dortmund as the first Dortmund-born with Alfredo Dinale (“Göbel / Dinale step on the pedals”), in 1931 in Cologne with Adolf Schön and in Frankfurt with Dinale, and in 1933 a second Times in Cologne with Schön and in 1937 two six-day races in Buenos Aires with Gottfried Hürtgen . In 1952, at the age of almost 50, Göbel started again in the first six-day race in Dortmund after the Second World War , but was unable to complete this race.
