Karl Garnitschnig

Karl Garnitschnig (born October 11, 1941 in Sankt Veit an der Glan ) is an Austrian pedagogue , psychotherapist and educational theorist.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1959 at the Bundesgymnasium and Bundesrealgymnasium Klagenfurt, he studied theology at the Episcopal Diocesan College in Klagenfurt from 1959 to 1963 and at the University of Vienna from June 1963 to 1968 : Philosophy as a major, logistics and pedagogy as a second subject for the doctoral program, German and history for the Teaching degree, as well as subjects in psychology, sociology and political science. From 1969 to 1972 he was a research assistant at the Pedagogical Institute of the University of Vienna. After military service in 1972 he was established in June 1972 with the thesis The concept of philosophy at Johann Gottlieb Fichte doctorate . From 1972 to 1986 he was an assistant at the Institute for Educational Sciences at the University of Vienna, where he qualified as a professor in 1986 with the venia docendi for the basics of pedagogy, with special emphasis on educational theory and organizational development. From 1978 to 1984 he taught at the social academy for professionals of the Caritas pedagogy. He completed a psychoanalytic training from 1981 to 1991. Since his entry in the list of psychotherapists in February 1992, he has been a psychotherapist in private practice. From 1992 to 1997 he lectured at the Heiligenkreuz University of Applied Sciences. Since 2013 he has been a member of the doctoral program of the Sigmund Freud University in Vienna .
