Richard Olechowski

Richard Olechowski (born May 7, 1936 in Vienna ) is a professor emeritus of educational science .

Life

Olechowski completed his habilitation in 1970 at the University of Vienna for pedagogy with a special focus on pedagogical psychology. His habilitation thesis was the book "The aging memory", for which he was also awarded the Cardinal Innitzer Prize . In 1972 he was appointed full professor at the University of Salzburg , in 1977 he was appointed to his home university in Vienna, where he taught until his retirement in 2004.

In 1986 he founded the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for "School Development and International Comparative School Research", which he also headed until 2004. 2004, he was from the Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest , the honorary doctorate awarded.
