Karl Gerfried Müller

Karl Gerfried Müller (born April 13, 1957 in Villach ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and tax officer. Müller was a member of the National Council from 1994 to 1999 .

education and profession

Müller attended the Arriach elementary school from 1963 to 1968 and then the Landskron secondary school until 1972 . After graduating from the commercial school in Villach between 1972 and 1975, Müller joined the Villach tax office in 1976 and did military service between 1977 and 1978. Müller passed the civil service promotion examination in 1990 and has been working as a tax auditor for the Villach tax office since 1993. During his political activities as member of the National Council, Müller was on leave between 1994 and 1999.

politics

Müller was a local councilor in Arriach between 1985 and 1990 and then a member of the local council until 1991. From 1991 to 2015, Müller was mayor of his home town. In 2015, after 24 years, he did not run for the position of mayor. In addition to his local political engagement, Müller also held the office of district party chairman of the SPÖ Villach from 1995 to 1998 and represented the SPÖ in the National Council from November 7, 1994 to October 28, 1999.
