Karl Geroldinger

Karl Geroldinger (born May 6, 1960 in Sigharting , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian trumpeter, conductor , orchestra leader and director of the Upper Austrian regional music school.

Life

Karl Geroldinger studied trumpet at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz with Ludwig Hultsch , and also completed a secondary school teacher training course at the Pedagogical Academy in Linz. He was a trumpet teacher at the regional music school in Schärding . In 1986 he became director of the regional music school in Ried im Innkreis and since 1995 he has been director of the Upper Austrian regional music school at the Office of the Upper Austrian regional government.

For several years he worked as a trumpeter in various orchestras. Since 1986 he has headed the SBO (Symphonic Wind Orchestra) Ried, which Geroldinger founded at the time. He is also Kapellmeister of the Enzenkirchen Music Association and advisor to the Upper Austrian Brass Music Association .

His son Felix Geroldinger is also a musician.
