Karl Gustav Haase

Karl Gustav Haase (born February 21, 1840 in Tönning , † 1908 in Reinbek ) was a German physician.

Life

Karl Gustav Haase studied medicine at the Universities of Kiel, Tübingen, Berlin, Bonn, Paris and London. In 1860 he became a member of the Corps Holsatia in Kiel . After his doctorate as Dr. med. in 1864. He then worked as an assistant doctor in Alexander Pagenstecher's eye clinic in Wiesbaden. In 1868 he settled in Hamburg as an ophthalmologist. In 1876 he became senior physician in the general hospital's eye department.

Kurt Gustav Haase had Martin Haller built a country house for him in Wentorf , Am Mühlenteich 10, in 1889 and expanded it into a large villa in 1897/98. It has been the artist house "Villa Willemsen" since 2018
