action
On December 7, 1941, the United States entered World War II . The film was intended to mobilize the home front and shows workers in the United States making their contribution to the war. A clock serves as a hanger. The film shows footage from the armaments factories . It follows a worker, Jean, who works in an ammunition factory. Among other things, she is responsible for quality control. Because of an unauthorized cigarette break, she neglects her work for a moment, which means that a faulty cartridge is declared ok . This is followed by shots of a scouting party engaged in a battle with Japanese soldiers. This cartridge is in the rifle of one of the soldiers and ensures that the Japanese win the battle. Now follows a wholesale grocery supplier who stops early on Saturdays to watch a baseball game. So he does not notice that a delivery should be stopped. This caused the deaths of several sailors who mistakenly entered hostile waters. The role of the clock is then emphasized, which is important for winning the war because it synchronizes all actions. More recordings from the various factories follow, accompanied by music. The clock stops at 11:05 a.m., thus forming the victory sign .
