Karl Heimann (lawyer)

Karl Heimann (also Karl Maria Heimann and Karl Friedrich Philipp Joseph Heimann ; born July 15, 1879 in Cologne , † May 1945 in Berlin ) was a German insurance manager.

Life

Karl Heimann graduated from high school in Kreuzgasse in Cologne. He studied law at the universities of Bonn, Münster and Berlin. In 1901 he became a trainee lawyer in Cologne. After receiving his doctorate in Leipzig as Dr. jur. he passed the assessor examination in 1906. He then became an assessor at the Cologne Public Prosecutor's Office. In October 1907 he became a laborer and in 1908 the third director of the General Knappschaftsverein Bochum. In 1916 he was appointed the first director of the Knappschaftlichen Reinsurance Association in Berlin. From 1924 he was general director of the Reichsknappschaft in Berlin.
