Karl Heinrich Remigius Sauerländer

Karl Heinrich Remigius Sauerländer (born November 28, 1848 in Aarau ; † May 14, 1919 there ) was a Swiss publisher .

He was the grandson of the publisher's founder Heinrich Remigius Sauerländer . He studied in Lausanne, Berlin and Vienna. He then went on a long trip to the USA. From 1872 he headed the family business Verlag Sauerländer based in Aarau . Under his leadership, the company was converted into a limited partnership in 1900 . He ran the company until his death. He was also a member of the Grand Council from 1889 to 1909 and was consular agent in the United States in the 1890s .

Sauerländer was a co-founder of an institution for mentally handicapped children in the canton of Aargau .
