Karl Heinz Krauskopf

Karl Heinz Krauskopf (* 1930 in Ratingen ; † January 22, 1984 ibid) was a German artist.

biography

During his training as a chemigrapher (1944–1947), Krauskopf received his first drawing lessons from Peter Janssen in Düsseldorf at the age of 16 . Then he worked as an employee in the graphic industry until 1974. From 1947 to 1951 he studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy . His teachers included Werner Heuser , Bruno Goller , Richard Schreiber and Heinz May . In 1968 he married the sculptor Gretel Gemmert and from 1974 worked as a freelance artist in Düsseldorf. He had his apartment in the Golzheim artists' colony built in 1936 for the Schaffendes Volk exhibition . Study trips took him to southern Europe and North Africa. He had group exhibitions in Munich, Mainz, The Hague and Ancona and numerous solo exhibitions in the Düsseldorf area, as well as annual vernissages in Ratingen.

Krauskopf has had annual solo exhibitions since 1958, and many of his works can be viewed in the Museum of the City of Ratingen.
