Karl Johannes Lierfeld (* 1977 in Cologne ) is a German author , lecturer and entrepreneur .

Life

Lierfeld made his debut in 2005 as a screenwriter with Später Ruhm , the pilot episode for the 5th season of the ZDF crime series SOKO Cologne . This was followed by the development of several series concepts for Pro7 and Sat.1 on behalf of Studio Hamburg (here Lierfeld was involved in the thriller series Deadline , among others ). 2009 John Lierfeld and was Marcus Overbeck written science fiction -Thriller 2012 awarded the Westphalian Film Award.

Lierfeld his doctorate in 2015 at the University of Cologne Dr. phil. The title of the dissertation is: Scripted Warfare 9/11 - Interferences between Terror, Media and Cinema in the Post 9/11 Era .

In 2017 he made his debut as a novelist (together with the AI developer Scott Cote) with the English-language science thriller MEDICA .

In 2018, Lierfeld published Artificial Superintelligence: Utopias, Dystopias, Disruptions, his also English-language non-fiction debut, a contribution to the rationalization of the singularity discourse .
