Marcus Norbert Overbeck (born January 19, 1980 in Essen ) is a German director and screenwriter .

Life

From 2002 to 2008, Marcus Overbeck studied audiovisual media in the film / television department at the Art Academy for Media in Cologne . The nominated medium-length feature film 2012 was his thesis there. 2012 coincidentally started at the same time as Roland Emmerich 's blockbuster of the same name , which brought Marcus Overbeck a few clicks on the Internet. In addition to his work as a director, Marcus Overbeck has been working in the fields of music video , music production and sound design for over 10 years . In his free time he devotes himself to his music project The acoustic garden fence . He made an image film for the United Nations in New York . In 2012 he made the trailer for Arch Enemy's Latin American Khaos Tour . The trailer for this has been published. Further production was stopped due to differences with the band.

In Cologne, Overbeck founded his own production company, Overbeck Media GmbH , with which he made advertising and image films, among other things . Under the label Filmefahrer Pictures he produces fictional formats, films and music videos.
