The Dutch military ordinariate is the military ordinariate of the Netherlands .
history
The military ordinariate takes care of members of the Dutch armed forces of Catholic denominations. It was made by Pope Pius XII. established on April 16, 1957 as a military vicariate . According to a mutual decision between the Holy See and the Netherlands, the seat of the Dutch military ordinariate is in The Hague . It was raised to a diocese on July 21, 1986 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Spirituali militum curae .
