Robert Drakogiannakis

Robert Drakogiannakis (born November 20, 1966 ) is a German musician, singer , songwriter , painter and music producer .

Life

As the son of Greek-German parents, he grew up in Bergisch Gladbach . Today he lives in Cologne .

Career

He became known in 2003 as a founding member and front man of the Cologne indie punk band Angelika Express . After the band split up in 2005, he founded the electro-pop duo Planetakis. In 2008 Drakogiannakis brought Angelika Express back to life with a new line-up. Since 2009 he has been a guitarist and producer for the French-speaking band Les Choc Chocs.

In 2005 Drakogiannakis founded the record label Peng Musik. In 2008 Drakogiannakis initiated the "Angelika share", which was bought by fans and investors. This was how the upcoming album “Goldener Trash” could be financed.

As a producer, Drakogiannakis occasionally uses the pseudonyms Aunt Angelika or Vodka Onassis .

Other fields of work

In addition to music, Drakogiannakis works as a freelance artist. Some of his paintings are shown on the cover and in the booklet of the album "The Dark Side of Power" (2010) and "The Dark Side of Power (Part Two)" (2011). Drakogiannakis also works as a designer and video designer.
