Karl Josef Leo

Karl Josef Leo (* around 1792; † 1851 ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Karl Josef Leo, son of a bailiff in Sankt Peter , studied law at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . In 1812 he was one of the founders of the Corps Rhenania Freiburg . In 1817 he became a legal intern and in 1828 an official assessor in Heidelberg . In 1830 he moved to Neckargemünd as an official assessor . In 1832 he was appointed bailiff at the Staufen district office . In 1837 he moved to the district office of Engen , where he was promoted to senior official in 1841 . From mid-June to mid-July 1844 he was at the same time chairman of the Donaueschingen district office , which was to be established , and was subsequently its senior magistrate and chief executive officer. On July 9, 1849, he was temporarily suspended on the basis of Article 2 of the ordinance of June 6, 1849 and resigned from civil service in 1850.
