Karl Kien

Karl Kien (born May 10, 1869 in Steinhorst , † March 17, 1943 in Hildburghausen ) was a German bookbinder and politician ( DNVP ).

Live and act

Kien was a master bookbinder and from 1938 also a bookseller in Hildburghausen. The member of the German National People's Party sat in the Thuringian state parliament from June 20, 1920 to December 7, 1929 . From July 17, 1924 to February 10, 1927 he was 2nd Vice President of the State Parliament and from January 23, 1930 to his resignation on April 1, 1931, as Councilor of State for Meiningen, he was a member of the government with no portfolio in the state government under the direction of Erwin Baum ( Baum-Frick Government ).
