Karl Krepp (born October 3, 1877 in Vienna ; † January 15, 1934 there ) was an Austrian builder and architect .

Life

Karl Krepp attended the Staatsgewerbeschule in Schellinggasse in Vienna, where he passed the maturity examination in the building technology department in 1896. In 1906 he obtained the master builder license and from around 1910 worked as an architect and builder together with Friedrich Mahler and Albrecht Michler in an office community. After the First World War, no more buildings by Krepp are documented. He died at the age of 57 and was buried in the Vienna Central Cemetery .

meaning

There is only one known building that Krepp designed on his own. This shows a mixture of historicist and secessionist forms typical of the time, but with a strongly contrasting color scheme. The other buildings come from the office community, although the specific share of Krepps cannot be determined according to the current state of research. They were public buildings, mostly for charities.
