Karl Löhle (born April 28, 1903 in Überlingen ; † June 3, 1957 ) was a German opponent of National Socialism, an SPD politician and a member of the Baden state parliament .

Karl Löhle was born in Überlingen in 1903. He lived and worked in the city in his parents' house on Franziskanerstrasse. Löhle was a master butcher and always practiced this profession outside of his political activities.

Karl Löhle has been critical of Hitler and National Socialism since the beginning of the Nazi era . He was referred to as a "pacifist fanatic" and repeatedly taken into " protective custody " or arrested. As “unworthy of defense ” he was not drafted into the armed forces.

When the Überlingen-Aufkirch satellite camp was set up as a satellite camp of the Dachau concentration camp in the Simmelbrunnen north of Überlingen in autumn 1944, the Löhle butcher's shop supplied the camp kitchen. Löhle used this to send the inmates food and medicine, to talk to them and to forward letters for them.

Between 1945 and 1946 he was mayor of Überlingen, then a local councilor and first deputy to the mayor of Überlingen. From 1947 to 1952 Löhle was a member of the Baden state parliament for the SPD .
