Enciclopèdia de Menorca

Enciclopèdia de Menorca is an encyclopedia about the Balearic island of Menorca . She deals with the physical geography and the natural, human and social sciences of the island of Menorca. The editor is Obra Cultural de Menorca under the direction of Josep Miquel Vidal i Hernández . The first edition appeared in 1979 and consisted of 12 volumes in Catalan .

In 1987 Enciclopèdia de Menorca was awarded the OCB (Obra Cultural Balear) prize.

In addition to the bound book form, there are regular fascicles with the following topics:

The Ministry of Culture (Ministerio de Cultura) signed an agreement in June 2007 to collaborate with the Obra Cultural de Menorca for the further production and publication of the Enciclopèdia de Menorca . The order by the Ministry to finance further production comprises two volumes: Anthropology II and Art History II.
