Karl Lueneburg

Karl Lüneburg (born May 4, 1927 in Stargard in Pomerania ; † June 11, 2014 in Bremen ) was a German politician ( SPD ), member of the Bremen citizenship and head of the local office.

biography

Lüneburg grew up in a working-class household in Berlin.

job

Lüneburg worked in Bremen as a technical employee and designer. From 1975 to 1990 he was head of the Bremen- Blumenthal local office for 15 years .

politics

Lüneburg had been a member of the SPD since the 1950s and was active in various functions in the party in Blumenthal and Bremen-Nord .

From 1967 to 1975 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship for eight years and worked in various deputations (education, sport, as well as building and regional planning) and committees of the citizenship. In 1975 he had to resign because he was elected local office manager; his successor was Klaus Kück (SPD). His work as a contemporary witness was highly valued. Citizenship President Christian Weber paid tribute to him: "It is largely thanks to Karl Lüneburg that especially young people were given intensive information about childhood and youth under National Socialism."
