Karl Lang (politician, 1929)

Karl Lang (born October 17, 1929 in Kornwestheim ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Lang was a lawyer by profession with his own law firm at the house, apartment and landowners association, of which he is an honorary member.

Lang has been a member of the CDU since 1958. In 1959 he was elected to the Kornwestheim municipal council for the first time. For 34 years he was parliamentary group leader of the CDU. In 1965 he ran for the Ludwigsburg district council. From 1980 to 1996 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg as a directly elected member of the Ludwigsburg constituency .

Today Lang lives with his wife in Stuttgart . He is the father of two children and the grandfather of three grandchildren. He has been awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon and the Great Cross of Merit (1996), the Eberhard Ludwig Medal of the Ludwigsburg district and the Philipp Matthäus Hahn Medal of the city of Kornwestheim.
