Karl Litschauer
Karl Litschauer (born September 3, 1936 in Rohrbach ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and state official. In 1988 and from 1992 to 1997 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament and from 1989 to 1992 a member of the Federal Council .
After elementary school, Litschauer attended a secondary school in Horn and graduated from there in 1956 . He entered the service of the Province of Lower Austria in 1961 and was involved in numerous employee representation, trade union and party functions. Between 1992 and 1996 he was ÖVP district party chairman, from 1992 to 1997 chairman of the central staff representation of the Lower Austrian state employees and from 1993 to 1997 chairman of the “Landesdienst” consortium in the public service union . Litschauer, who had been appointed Hofrat, represented the ÖVP between February 25, 1988 and November 17, 1988 in the Lower Austrian state parliament, was then a member of the Federal Council from March 16, 1989 to October 21, 1992 and then represented the ÖVP again from October 22, 1992 to June 16, 1997 in the state parliament.
