Karl Manner

Karl Manner (born October 24, 1923 - April 26, 2015 ) was an Austrian sports shooter .

Life

Manner lived with his family in Perg , where he was honorary chairman and top rifle master from 1962 to 1993 and then honorary top rifle master of the Perg shooting club . Under his leadership, the rifle house was built and expanded as well as eight small caliber stands for 50 meters, eight crossbow stands for 30 meters and the air rifle hall for ten meters with twelve stands. The sports facility serves as a venue for numerous championships. From 1966 to 1992 Karl Manner was plant director in the Perg branch of Josef Manner & Comp. AG .

Sporting successes

Manner was able to point to the following successes:

  • Austrian champion with the carpenter's rifle (1958, 1964)
  • Silver medals at the European Crossbow Championships in 1963 and 1969 in Switzerland
  • Austrian national champion with the air rifle in 1964
  • a total of four bronze medals at the European Crossbow Championships in 1963 and 1969 in Switzerland and in 1965 in Germany
  • Two-time Austrian national crossbow champion in 1972
  • Austrian Crossbow State Champion (1975)

Awards

Karl Manner received several awards for his successes and his voluntary work:

  • After five national championship titles, he was awarded the Upper Austrian state sports honorary mark in gold for active people in 1976 .
  • At the 100th anniversary of the Austrian Rifle Federation , he received the gold medal for sports from the Austrian Rifle Federation.
  • In 1990 he received the ring of honor of the Upper Austrian State Rifle Association
  • In 1993, Karl Manner became consultant for sports for the Upper Austrian provincial government and received the Upper Austrian state sports badge in gold for the second time, this time for officials.
