Gottfried-Karl Olie (born August 6, 1915 in Nieukerk ; † June 28, 1987 there ) was a German glass painter and painter .

After his apprenticeship as an art glazier and attending the Werkkunstschule in Krefeld , he worked as a glass painter in various glass painting workshops in West and South Germany. He designed and produced his first secular and sacred glass paintings before 1939, when he set up his first studio in his parents' house in Nieukerk. From 1940 to 1949 he was in military service and in captivity. After returning home late, he found his studio destroyed and began to set it up again. In 1954 he built a small studio with an apartment in Nieukerk. Since 1972 he worked in a studio community with his nephew Karl-Gottfried Olie.

In addition to numerous mundane work in public and private houses, he made more than 1000 glass paintings as cabinet windows, which were installed in Germany, the Netherlands , Italy , Austria , Canada , the USA and other countries. He designed windows for some parish churches and chapels and executed them in his own workshop.

He was a member of the professional association of visual artists and made oil paintings in addition to his work in glass.
