Karl Pinno
Karl Pinno (* 1875 ; † in the 20th century) was a German architect .
Life
Until the First World War, Pinno worked together with the architect Philipp Bachmann (* 1872) in Dortmund ( Bachmann and Pinno offices ). From 1923 he worked in a joint venture with Peter Grund in Dortmund, in which both remained independent. The Pinno und Grund office rose to regional renown in the years 1923 to 1933 through numerous award-winning competition designs and buildings.
The architect Arnold Emundts worked in the Pinno und Grund office from April 1927 and, according to his own information, was significantly involved in various designs. After his departure in 1933, Emundts worked again for Karl Pinno from January 1934 to mid-1935.
After 1929 at the latest, Fritz Höger's interest in the work of Pinno and Grund is evidenced by the possession of the volume from the “Neue Werkkunst” series (see literature ).
The Pinno and Grund working group ended in 1933 when Grund went to Düsseldorf . Another source states: "Due to a lack of construction contracts, the partnership had to dissolve in 1934."
