Karl Richard Hornberger

Karl Richard Hornberger (born January 25, 1849 in Langenburg , † April 2, 1918 in Münden ) was a German scientist.

Life

After graduating from high school, Karl Richard Hornberger studied natural sciences at the University of Erlangen and received his doctorate on June 28, 1875 under Eugen von Gorup-Besánez .

In 1883 he became an academic teacher for mineralogy and soil science at the Royal Forest Academy in Münden.

Between October 1, 1889 and January 1, 1890 he was awarded the title of professor.

Hornberger later took over the subjects of physics and meteorology in Münden and became head of the forest chemistry laboratory. He was a privy councilor.

On November 24, 1887, Karl Richard Hornberger was accepted into the Leopoldina as a member ( matriculation no. 2701 ) .
