Karl Salzmann (artist)

Karl Salzmann (* 1979 in Bludenz ) is a media artist living in Vienna .

Life

Salzmann studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna in the Digital Art department with Virgil Widrich and Ruth Schnell . From 2014 - 2017 he was a lecturer at the same university in the Art & Science department.

In his artistic work, Karl Salzmann deals with sound and noise and combines this in performance, concept and installation art.

Solo exhibitions in:

In 2017 Salzmann received the Erste Bank MehrWert Art Prize and in 2019 he was awarded the Austrian State Scholarship for Media Art.
