Karl Schön (politician, 1923)
Karl Schön (born July 26, 1923 in Elstra ; † June 6, 1994 in Koblenz ) was a German politician ( SPD ).
The apprenticeship as a stonemason made nice and entered the military after the final examination at a stonemasonry school. In 1955 he became a member of the SPD, where he was chairman of the Koblenz sub-district and a member of the board of the Rhineland-Hesse-Nassau district. There he was also chairman of the workers' welfare . In 1957 he was first elected to the Bendorfer city council, in which he was also parliamentary group chairman. In 1967 he became mayor of the city of Bendorf . In 1964 he was elected to the district council for the first time, first in the Koblenz district and later in the Mayen-Koblenz district . From 1967 to 1975 he was a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate . From 1979 to 1984 he was a member of the first European Parliament .
