Karl Schleicher

Karl Schleicher (born April 19, 1875 in Biebrich ; † November 2, 1914 at Roye (Somme) , France) was a German administrative lawyer and mayor.

Life

Schleicher was the son of the manufacturer Ulrich Schleicher (1844–1899) in Biebrich. He studied law in Heidelberg and Berlin. In Heidelberg he became active in the Corps Suevia Heidelberg in 1894 . In 1903 Schleicher became a court assessor and obtained his doctorate in law. jur. In 1904 he became an alderman in Wiesbaden . From 1909 until his death he was mayor of Kreuznach .

Schleicher fell as a first lieutenant in the reserve in the field artillery regiment "Oranien" (1st Nassauisches) No. 27 near Roye.
