Karl Schwinke (born September 16, 1950 in Godensholt , Ammerland district ) is a German SPD politician .

Life

Karl Schwinke completed an apprenticeship for high-level general administration and then did his military service. In 1973 he became government inspector and worked in the Eimsbüttel district office and the environmental authority of the city of Hamburg . From 1982 to 1984 he worked as a research assistant for the SPD parliamentary group and then moved to the building authorities until 1993 as office manager, head of the presidential department and government director.

From 1993 to 1996 he took on the role of trainee and executive assistant at Hamburger Hochbahn AG. From 1996 to 2003 he was division manager at the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (HVV) and has been a member of the management of the metronom railway company since 2003 . In addition to his professional and political involvement, he is a member of the Ver.di union and the workers' welfare organization . He is married and has two children.

Karl Schwinke is district chairman of the SPD Lemsahl-Duvenstedt and since 2000 a member of the district executive committee of the SPD- Wandsbek . He has also been the district chairman of Wandsbek since 2004 and was re-elected at the district delegate meeting in 2006 with 85% approval. In addition, he has been a member of the executive SPD state executive since 2004. He is also a member of the SPD's economic forum. Until 2008 he was a member of the Hamburg-Wandsbek district assembly and deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group . There he sat on the main committee, the planning committee and the committee for economy, transport and tourism.

In February 2008, he was in the state election on the national list of the SPD in the Hamburg Parliament move.
