Karl Seeburger

Karl Seeburger (born June 17, 1914 in Mining ; † April 24, 1979 ibid) was an Austrian farmer and politician ( ÖVP ). From 1955 to 1961 he was a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag .

Life and Political Work

Karl Seeburger took over his parents' farm in the municipality of Mining in 1942 and ran it as a Fleckvieh farm. Soon afterwards he became involved in the cooperative system; he was a member of the board and from 1960 chairman of the Geinberg warehouse cooperative in Innviertel , from 1959 district chairman of the Simmental cattle breeding association and chairman of the Geinberg dairy cooperative. From 1962 Seeburger was also a member of the supervisory board of Upper Austrian goods brokerage. As a founding member of the Raiffeisenkasse Mining, he became a member of the supervisory board of the Raiffeisenverband Oberösterreich in 1966. In addition, Seeburg was a councilor for agriculture .

Seeburger was politically active in his home community as mayor between 1949 and 1955; then he was a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament until 1961.

In his private life, Seeburger was chairman of the Liedertafel Mining for 20 years; He was also district hunter master from 1963 to 1975.

1979 Seeburger had a fatal accident.

Awards

In 1971 Seeburger was awarded the professional title of Economic Council; he also received the Raiffeisen medal in silver.
