Karl Simpfendörfer

Karl Simpfendörfer (born September 2, 1906 in Brettach , † December 25, 1984 in Bad Friedrichshall ) was a German politician ( CDU ). In the third electoral term he was a member of the German Bundestag.

Life

Simpfendörfer attended elementary school and then an agricultural school. Afterwards he worked in several farms, where he mostly worked in fruit growing or milk production. He was first politically active in 1923 when he joined the DNVP . From 1930 he got involved in the Christian Social People's Service (CSVD). In World War II he was used as a soldier. After the war he was from 1947 a member of the Württemberg Evangelical Church Congress and employee of the German Evangelical Church Congress . At that time he was also the chairman of milk supply companies.

Simpfendörfer also joined the CDU after the war and in 1946 became a member of the Heilbronn district council and assembly. Through a direct mandate in the Heilbronn constituency , he was elected to the German Bundestag in the 1957 federal election. There he was a full member of the Committee for Family and Youth Issues and the Committee for SME Issues. He was also a deputy member of the Committee on Petitions and the Committee on Cultural Policy and Journalism. After the subsequent election in 1961, he left the Bundestag.
