Karl Stuhlmüller (* 1859 in Munich ; † March 13, 1930 in Etzenhausen near Dachau ) was a German landscape and animal painter.

Born the son of a master carpenter and initially destined to be a carpenter, Karl Stuhlmüller joined a traveling theater troupe and began studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Carl Theodor von Piloty on April 5, 1875 .

After completing his studies, Karl Stuhlmüller worked as a freelance landscape and animal painter in Munich, Dachau and Etzenhausen, and became a member of the Munich artists' cooperative .

The year Stuhlmüller was born is given in various sources as 1851, 1858 and 1859. When he entered the matriculation register on April 5, 1875, Stuhlmüller declared his age to be 16, which clearly confirms his year of birth 1859.
