Karl Thieme senior
Karl Thieme (senior) (born July 20, 1862 in Neusalza-Spremberg , † November 13, 1932 in Frankfurt) was a Protestant theologian .
From 1882 to 1886 Thieme studied Protestant theology at the University of Leipzig . In 1887 he received his doctorate in philosophy , a year later in theology. The habilitation followed in 1890. From 1894 he was associate professor for systematic theology at the University of Leipzig.
Karl Thieme senior is the father of the historian and theologian Karl Thieme and the legal historian Hans Thieme .
