Karl Titze

Karl Titze (born February 6, 1914 in Vienna ; † September 30, 1987 there ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). He was 1962-1966 member of the Bundesrat and 1966-1971 Member of the National Council .

Titze attended elementary school for five years and then switched to a community school for three years. He graduated from commercial training school and in 1928 was an office intern in a Viennese wholesale company. Then he worked as a commercial clerk. After the Second World War he worked from 1945 to 1953 as district secretary of the ÖVP Vienna- Hernals , then from 1953 to 1963 he was state secretary of the ÖAAB- Vienna . Titze began his political career between 1959 and 1962 as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council , after which he was a member of the Federal Council from November 23, 1962 to March 30, 1966. Subsequently, Titze represented the ÖVP between March 30, 1966 and June 24, 1970 and from October 19, 1970 to November 4, 1971 in the National Council. Furthermore, he worked within the party as a member of the state party executive and the state party leadership of the ÖVP Vienna and was regional chairman of the ÖAAB Vienna from 1963.
