Karl Trost

Karl Trost (born August 18, 1890 in Würzburg , † March 22, 1949 ibid) was a German butcher, trade functionary and member of the Bavarian Senate.

Trost learned the butcher's trade in his parents' company, where he also worked. In 1914 he acquired the master craftsman's certificate. During the First World War he served as a soldier until he was released due to a serious wound. After the war he took over his parents' business. From 1929 to 1933 and from 1945 to 1949 he was head master of the butcher's guild in Würzburg and was a member of the board of the butchers' cooperative. He was a member of the Würzburg City Council for the Bavarian People's Party and in 1945 was District Mayor of Würzburg-Zellerau . In July 1945 he became president of the Chamber of Crafts for Lower Franconia , and from 1947 until its dissolution in 1948 he was chairman of the cattle industry association and the skin action association and co-founder of the butchers association in the American zone of occupation . From December 1947 until his death he was a member of the Bavarian Senate .
