Karl Umgelter (born April 7, 1907 in Stuttgart , † July 24, 1941 in Rakowitschi , Soviet Union ) was a German hammer thrower and sports official.
Life
Karl Umgelter has been an athlete with the Stuttgarter Kickers since his youth . After his sporting days he stayed with the Kickers and was initially vice-president before he was elected president of the club in 1934 and held this office until 1937. Umgelter died on the Eastern Front in Rakowitschi , a small village in what is now Ukraine, west of Kiev .
