Karl Vetter (born February 9, 1953 in Roding ) is a German orthopedist and politician ( Free Voters ).

In the state elections in Bavaria in 2008 , he ran in the Cham constituency for the free voters as a direct candidate against Markus Sackmann (CSU) and after this he achieved the second-best first vote result in this constituency with 25.9% . In his hometown of Cham, with 37.5%, he even got the most first votes. He was elected to the Bavarian state parliament via the Upper Palatinate district list of free voters . There he was a member of the Committee for Environment and Health and health policy spokesman for the FW group. At the same time he was their addiction, drug and equality officer. In 2013 he received 25.6% of the first votes; he was re-elected via the Upper Palatinate district list. In 2018 he no longer applied for a seat in the state parliament and left.

He has been a member of the Cham city ​​council since May 2008 and of the district council of the Cham district since 1996 .

Awards

On February 1, 2019, he was awarded the Bavarian Constitutional Medal in silver.
