Karl Weber (politician, 1885)

Karl Weber (born March 8, 1885 in Lehnin , † April 15, 1945 in Verden (Aller) ) was a German lawyer and politician ( NSDAP ).

Life

Weber had been an active maintenance officer since 1904 and took part in the First World War as a soldier , most recently as a captain. During the war he was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class. In 1918 he was dismissed from the army, damaged in the war. Subsequently, he was employed for informational purposes at the city administration of Bad Orb . Later acted Weber as spa director and community leaders of the North Sea resort wittdün . From 1925 to 1930 he studied law and political science at the universities in Kiel , Munich and Hamburg . He also obtained a doctorate in law .

During the time of the Weimar Republic Weber joined the German Volkische Freedom Party . He became a member of the NSDAP in November 1926 and was district leader of the party for Lüneburg-Land from 1931. From 1932 to 1933 he was a member of the Prussian state parliament . From 1933 to 1945 he was the district administrator of the Verden district . From 1939 to 1943 he was also acting head of the Rotenburg district .

On April 15, 1945 Weber shot his wife and himself with a hunting rifle.
