Karl Wedenig

Karl Wedenig (born February 3, 1921 in Aschlberg , municipality of Eidenberg in Upper Austria; † September 3, 1986 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and trade union secretary. Wedenig was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1970 to 1979 .

After primary and secondary school, Wedenig attended the Agricultural State College of Lower Austria and was Federal Secretary of the ÖAAB from 1947 . From 1954 he worked professionally as secretary of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions and federal secretary of the Christian trade unionist faction . Furthermore, Wedenig was Chamber Councilor of the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees for Vienna and from March 31, 1970 to January 22, 1979 a member of the National Council.
