Karl Wilhelm noon

Karl Wilhelm Mittag (* December 24, 1813 in Rammenau , † April 29, 1864 in Langebrück ) was a German teacher and organist in Heynitz and Langebrück. Noon was the last town chronicler of Bischofswerda .

Life

Karl Wilhelm Mittag was born in Rammenau in 1813 . After completing the church school there and the Fletcher teachers' seminar in Dresden , which he attended from 1830 to 1834, Mittag worked as a church school teacher in Heynitz near Meißen from 1837 and in Langebrück from 1862. He was a member of the Natural Science Society ISIS in Meißen and had contact with the Upper Lusatian Society of Sciences in Görlitz.

Mittags Chronik von Bischofswerda was published in 1861, 500 years after the town charter was granted to Bischofswerda, and “went far beyond its predecessors [in its accuracy and completeness], the Pirna Archdeacon Michael Pusch from 1658/1659 and the Bischofswerda Cantor Christian Heckel from 1713 ,] out. "

Noon published several poems in the Saxon narrator .
