Karl von Neidhardt

Karl von Neidhardt (born November 10, 1831 in Alsfeld , † March 13, 1909 in Berlin ) was a German administrative lawyer and Grand Ducal Hessian ambassador extraordinary and authorized representative at the Federal Council .

Neidhardt attended grammar school in Darmstadt and from autumn 1849 studied law in Gießen (member of Corps Teutonia ) and Heidelberg (member of Corps Rhenania ). In spring 1854 he passed the faculty examination, 1855 the doctoral examination, 1856 the state examination. After working as an accessist in Darmstadt and Groß-Gerau , he became Ministerial Secretary in the Ministry of the Grand Ducal House and Foreign Affairs in 1861 , Legation Councilor in 1867, Legation Councilor in 1868, Privy Councilor and Lecturing Council, 1870 Ministerial Councilor. In November 1874 he moved to the general ministry. In 1876 he became ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary minister at the Prussian court in Berlin, 1878 state councilor, 1884 real secret council. Most recently Neidhardt was the Grand Ducal Hessian envoy and plenipotentiary to the Federal Council, where he also represented the principalities of Lippe and Schaumburg-Lippe . In 1908 he retired.

Awards

Karl Neidhardt was the bearer of numerous high orders and decorations, including the Grand Cross with Crown of the Grand Ducal Hessian Order of Merit , the Grand Cross of the Ludwig Order , the Russian Order of St. Anna II Class, the Grand Officer's Cross of the Belgian Leopold Order , the Commander of the Order of St. Michael , the Prussian Order of the Crown, 1st Class, the Grand Cross of the Red Eagle Order , the Grand Cross with the Crown in Gold of the Mecklenburg House Order of the Wendish Crown and the Grand Cross of the Order of the Tough Lion .

On January 25, 1895 he was raised to the hereditary nobility.
