Karlheinz Lipp

Karlheinz Lipp (* 1957 ) is a German historian .

Lipp was born in the Palatinate and studied history and Protestant theology at the University of Mainz for teaching at grammar schools. The subject of his thesis, submitted in 1982, was Religious Socialism in the Palatinate 1922-1933 . He received his doctorate in 1992 from the University of Frankfurt a. M. with an investigation into the peace struggle of the Federation of Religious Socialists in Germany in the Weimar Republic for Dr. phil. From 1985 to 1992 he was in school service in Hessen. Since 1992 he has been a teacher for history and evangelical religion in Berlin, currently at the Carl Zeiss secondary school. He is a historian specializing in historical peace research. He is a member of the Historical Peace Research Working Group.
